Watercolour and gouache over pencil (partly varnished), on paper, The Falls of the Velino into the Nera near Terni, partly varnished by Abraham Louis Ducros (Yverdon, Switzerland 1748 ¿ Lausanne 1810).The falls of the Velino, where it empties itself into the Nera near Terni, known as the Cascate della Marmore, are about 650 feet high. Colt Hoare describes this drawing as showing the waterfall from the point where it should be but seldom is seen, i.e. from the opposite bank of the river.
